TOC Admission in Open School

What is Transfer of Credit (TOC) in NIOS Board

Failed in 10th & 12th Class from NIOS OPEN SCHOOL / CBSE/ STATE BOARD?

If you have failed in 10th or 12th class from NIOS OPEN SCHOOL, CBSE, or any state board, you are eligible to apply for NIOS admission. Students who have original mark sheets of their failed or compartment results can take Transfer of Credit (TOC) in NIOS.
What is TOC in NIOS OPEN SCHOOL?
TOC stands for Transfer of Credit, a facility provided by NIOS for students who have passed some subjects in their previous board exams. This allows students to transfer the marks of subjects they have successfully completed from their earlier board to NIOS, only if the same subject is mentioned in NIOS’s subject scheme.
Before applying for TOC, students must carefully review the NIOS subject TOC scheme and ensure that their previous board’s subjects are accepted under NIOS. The facility is not available for students who have failed in all subjects or for those whose results are more than five years old.

This benefit is only applicable to learners who passed some subjects and wish to transfer the marks for those subjects to NIOS. Students must apply for TOC at the time of admission and ensure that their subjects are included in NIOS’s scheme of studies.
